Meet Melanie Wilson
Melanie Wilson serves as the co-founder and managing member of Advanced Concrete Floor Solutions LLC, overseeing daily financial operations and contributing to various business aspects. Melanie's robust entrepreneurial background includes successful ventures such as co-founding Imaging Associates of Canton LLC in 2003 and later transitioning to the construction industry at R Cody Construction LLC. Melanie's diverse experiences culminated in co-founding Advanced Concrete Floor Solutions LLC.
A Decade of Entrepreneurial Success
In 2003, Melanie co-founded Imaging Associates of Canton LLC, where she adeptly managed day-to-day operations at a medical imaging facility for ten years. Her leadership extended to an 8-year tenure as Director of Operations, consistently exceeding monthly goals. This entrepreneurial foundation laid the groundwork for her later ventures in the construction industry.
Transition to Construction Expertise
Venturing into the construction industry, Melanie assumed the role of Business Administrator at R Cody Construction LLC in Kennesaw, GA. Here, she refined her skills, gaining valuable knowledge before co-founding Advanced Concrete Floor Solutions LLC.
Educational Background and Personal Interests
Melanie pursued business administration studies at Broward Community College. Currently residing in Canton, GA, she enjoys outdoor activities, tennis, and traveling with her husband and their four-legged companions, Quincy and Riley.
Meet Richard Cody
Richard Cody, the owner of R Cody Construction, LLC., and co-owner of Advanced Floor Concrete Solutions, brings over 40 years of construction industry expertise. In 2005, Richard founded R Cody Construction Company, Inc. The culmination of his extensive experience as a project manager, Director of Construction, and roles in national multifamily construction, positioned him as a leader in the industry.
Proven Expertise and Licensure
Richard's career highlights include managing multi-million dollar building projects and excelling in new construction, renovations, investments, and concrete grind and polishing. He has been an active licensed General Contractor in Georgia since 2010. Beyond his professional achievements, Richard is passionate about golf, mentoring, and spending quality time with his family and their cherished family dog, George.
Meet John Bradshaw
John Bradshaw was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended The Lovett School throughout his adolescent and teenage years and moved on to study Business at the University of Mississippi. As a child, John watched his dad run a successful business that employed 35 people. Federal Stamp and Seal Manufacturing Co., aka FESSCO, is where he began working after college. After some time went by, it became rather clear to John that he was meant for other things, and sitting in an office behind a computer all day was not his intended path. After telling his dad that this wasn’t what he wanted to do with the rest of his life, he found his calling.
For the better part of the last 12 years, John has been involved in nearly every aspect of residential and commercial construction. From working on a crew to managing large scale projects, he has gained extensive knowledge of what any kind of job takes to get completed correctly. For the last two years, John has been working side by side with Richard Cody, owner of R Cody Construction, and has been his lead Project Manager. During this time Richard and his business partner Melanie Wilson, decided to branch their concrete grinding and polishing operation into its own separate entity. Advanced Concrete Floor Solutions, LLC was born from R Cody. Excited about the new business, John took on the role of Director of Sales and Business Development, dealing with current clients and finding new ones because that is what he enjoys most.
John and his family currently reside in Vinings, a small community on the outskirts of Atlanta. His wife Kathe, a native of Bogota, Colombia, and their 3-year-old son Jack excitedly anticipate the arrival their second son in May of 2024. John has extensive knowledge of the Greater Atlanta area and has a vast network of people that are staples of the community. When he isn’t working or spending time with his family, John enjoys playing golf, watching the Georgia Bulldogs play football and the Atlanta Braves play baseball.
